CedarGate for agencies and teams

Picket

Goes in first.

A rugged, remote‑controlled scout. Drive it into smoke, rubble or the dark and see what it sees from a safe distance, while it keeps your whole team connected.

Picket: a rugged black case on off-road wheels with copper corner guards, two antennas, a satellite dome and a camera on top, front vents, and a screen showing a search-and-rescue map with potential contacts

What it does

Send Picket in.
Keep people out of harm’s way.

Drive it like a drone

Steer it with a handheld remote. The screen on the remote shows exactly what Picket’s camera sees, live.

Sees heat

Its thermal camera spots heat through smoke and darkness, and labels what it thinks it found: a person, an animal, a vehicle or fire.

Senses dangerous gas

The vents on the front keep it cool and sample the air, warning you about gas leaks and toxic air before anyone walks in.

Off‑road wheels

Small, rugged wheels that handle dirt, gravel, grass and rubble.

Satellite on top

A satellite dish on its roof keeps it connected anywhere it can see the sky, even when every cell tower is down.

Brings the network

Wherever Picket goes, the crew nearby gets a connection too, through cellular and satellite combined.

Who it’s for

For the teams who show up
when things go wrong.

Fire crewsLook inside the smoke and find hot spots before sending firefighters in.
Search & rescueSweep rubble, brush and dark ground for the heat of someone who needs help.
Hazmat teamsCheck for gas leaks and toxic air from a safe distance.
Emergency managementSee and connect a disaster zone when roads and networks are down.
Utilities & industryInspect pipelines, plants and tunnels for leaks without putting people at risk.
Government & defenseScout ahead safely and keep teams linked far from base.

Where we’ll test it

Tested where it’s
needed most.

We plan to put Picket in the same places its crews work.

Fire training grounds

Smoke and heat

Real smoke and flame, the conditions its camera is built to see through.

Rescue training sites

Rubble and the dark

Collapsed structures and tight, unlit spaces where people could be trapped.

Controlled leak tests

Dangerous air

Safe, measured gas releases to check it raises the alarm early.

Off‑road terrain

Dirt, mud and hills

Rough ground far from any tower, where it has to drive and stay connected.

How we’ll test it

Tested with the people
who’ll rely on it.

01

Range tests

How far it can drive and still send clear live video back to the remote.

02

Find the heat

We hide heat sources and score how often it spots and labels them correctly.

03

Gas checks

We compare its readings with professional gas detectors, side by side.

04

Real crews, real drills

Fire, rescue and hazmat teams use it in their own training and tell us what to fix.

Run a field team?
Help us test Picket.

We’re looking for fire, rescue and hazmat teams to try early units and shape what we build.

Picket is in development. Everything on this page is a design goal, and test plans may change.
